DRAFT FOR REVIEW
The parts marked Draft are new. They cover the FFG Connect member perk and our client dashboard, and are waiting for review. They are not legal advice.

Who we are

V.ONE Venture Studio (“V.ONE”, “we”, “us”) is a trading name of Ugenie AI LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16331448).

  • Registered office: Bartle House, 9 Oxford Court, Manchester, M2 3WQ, United Kingdom
  • Email: hello@vovs.co.uk

Ugenie AI LTD is the controller of your personal information under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). Ugenie AI LTD also runs Ugenie, one of the ventures in our portfolio. This policy covers V.ONE only; Ugenie has its own privacy notice.

What we collect

When you browse the site

  • Server logs. Our host, Vercel, processes your IP address, browser details and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Analytics. Pages viewed, the site that referred you, your country, device type and browser. Vercel Web Analytics does not store your IP address. It counts visitors using a hash of the request that changes every day, so we cannot identify you or follow you between visits or across other sites. You can turn analytics off: see Cookies.

When you contact us or book a call

  • Email. Your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
  • Fit calls. Bookings run on Cal.com. You give Cal.com your name, email address and any notes, and it shares them with us so we can hold the call. Cal.com’s own privacy policy covers its site.
  • Working together. The business details you share about your idea, company and plans. Please don’t send health or other sensitive personal information: we don’t need it.

When you redeem an FFG Connect perk code or ask for remindersDRAFT: this part is new and awaiting review

  • Your details. Your name, email address and business name, the code you enter, and which version of the Member Terms you accepted.
  • Technical details. Your IP address and your browser’s user agent (the line of text that names your browser and device), recorded with each redeem attempt, checkout hold and claim.
  • A visitor cookie. vone_visitor holds a random ID that tells our server which checkout hold or queue place is yours. It holds nothing else. See Cookies.
  • A bot check. When you press Redeem, Vercel BotID checks your browser to tell people from bots, so the codes go to people.
  • Payment records. If you pay £200, PayPal tells us the order and payment references, the amount, the payment’s status and any refund. PayPal handles your card or PayPal account itself: we never see your card details.
  • Drop alerts. If you sign up for an alert before each Monday drop, your name, email address, mobile number if you give one, the exact wording you agreed to, when you agreed, your IP address and browser (as a record of your consent), and whether you have unsubscribed.

When you become a clientDRAFT: this part is new and awaiting review

  • Your account. Your name and email address, so you can sign in to your dashboard with a code we email you.
  • Your project. Your onboarding call booking (from Cal.com), the agreement you sign (your typed name, the time, your IP address and browser, and a fingerprint of the exact document), your checklist and the files you upload, and the notes and updates we share in your dashboard.
  • Emails we send you. Which service emails we sent, when, and whether they were delivered.
  • Your site’s visitors. Monthly visitor and page view counts for the site we host for you, from Vercel Web Analytics. These are counts, with nothing that identifies your visitors.

We don’t buy personal data, use advertising trackers or sell your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

Only the providers we need to run the business, acting on our instructions:

  • Vercel Inc., for hosting, analytics and the BotID bot check
  • Cal.com, Inc., for booking calls
  • Our email and workspace providers, to send and store email
  • Software and AI tools we use to prepare proposals and deliver projects
  • Professional advisers such as an accountant, and HMRC or other authorities where the law requires it

For the FFG Connect perk and client workDRAFT: this part is new and awaiting review

  • Supabase, for our database, dashboard sign-in and file storage. Our production database is in London.
  • Resend, to send our emails, such as confirmations, sign-in codes and drop reminders
  • PayPal, to take payments and give refunds. PayPal also uses your payment details for its own purposes, such as fraud checks, under its own privacy statement.

FFG Connect only ever sees counts: how many codes were released, claimed and paid for, and how many sites went live. We never give Forbes Family Group Limited (FFG Connect) your name, email address or business name.

International transfers

Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States or elsewhere outside the UK. When they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations (including the UK–US data bridge) or by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep it

  • Server logs: a short period under Vercel’s standard log retention
  • Analytics: aggregate counts only, with no profile of you
  • Enquiries and bookings that don’t lead to work: up to 24 months after we last spoke, then deleted
  • Client records: six years after the work ends, for tax and legal reasons

For the FFG Connect perkDRAFT: this part is new and awaiting review

  • Redeem attempts (the code entered, email, IP address and the result): 90 days
  • Checkout holds and queue places that didn’t lead to a claim: 90 days
  • Claims, payments and refunds: six years after the end of the financial year they fall in, for tax and legal reasons. If you become a client, your claim is kept with your client record.
  • Drop reminder sign-ups: we stop emailing you when you unsubscribe or when the perk ends after the last drop on 25 January 2027, whichever comes first. We then keep the record of your consent for 12 months, to show we had permission, and delete it.
  • Records of the service emails we send: 12 months
  • The vone_visitor cookie: one year on your device, unless you clear it sooner

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you or another organisation in a portable form. You can object to any use based on legitimate interests, and you can always object to marketing. It’s free, and we will respond within one month. Email hello@vovs.co.uk.

Complaints

Please tell us first and we will try to put it right. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
